Metrics and data can show where a community is compared to where they would like to be, and they are crucial to the Community Planning Area assessments. At the same time, metrics and data are only a starting point. The Community Planning Area assessments will keep people at the center in both the process and the outcomes. The assets, needs, and desires of the people in each CPA will determine the assessment's trajectory, focus, and activities.

Equity

The metrics and data reviewed in CPA Assessments are centered on equity. These measurements are intended to ensure accurate portraits of the CPAs, diverse representation, and strategic investment of City resources.

Asset-based

An inventory of each CPA's strengths will form a foundation to support a viable action plan in each assessment.

Community-based

The assessments will be shaped by the voices of the people who live, work, learn, and play in each CPA. Suggestions for data, analysis, etc., are always appreciated.
