Get involved in long-range planning for your community!

What does your community want and need over the next 5, 10, or 20 years? From helping develop a long-range vision to helping shape projects coming together right now, you can impact the future of your communities. The City of Albuquerque offers multiple ways for community members to offer input into development decisions, long-range community planning, and community projects.

Equity-based Outreach Strategy

Our outreach strategy relies on tapping into existing collaboration and communication networks, intentionally prioritizing under-represented and under-resourced communities. For many reasons, including generations of institutional and structural racism, some communities have more access to resources and amenities than others. Our equity-based strategy recognizes that different communities need and want different things and that there is an urgency to address inequities in housing, resources, and access to goods, services, and recreational opportunities, etc. in order to move toward equal outcomes for all communities over time.
